200 years of Gloucester Docks and the Gloucester-Sharpness Canal at 7.30 pm
Our first “in the room” talk for several years will take place at in the Dunrossil Room at Gloucestershire Archives. Our speaker is Tony Conder, the former curator at The Waterways Museum at Gloucester Docks.
He will tell us about a world beating canal, an epic construction, a useful life, and modern rebirth as a Heritage Harbour. The talk will cover the history of Gloucester Docks and the canal to the sea.
